Participant understand and acknowledges that participation in the Vermont Green Mountain Shred includes, but is not limited to, skiing, snowboarding, alpine travel, on-mountain activities, event activations, and related acivities conducted on resort premises and surrounding areas.
Participant acknowledges that these activities involve inherent and significant risks, including but not limited to:
- Falls, collisions with other participants, skiers, snowboarders, spectators, or objects.
- Variable snow conditions, including ice, powder, hardpack, moguls, ruts, and changing terrain.
- Natural and man-made obstacles such as trees, rocks, lift towers, snowmaking equipment, fencing, signage, and terrain features.
- Chairlift and surface lift loading, unloading, and operation.
- Weather conditions including cold temperatures, wind, snow, reduced visibility, and lightning.
- Equipment failure or malfunction (including skis, snowboards, bindings, boots, and helmets).
- Fatigue, overexertion, dehydration, altitude-related illness.
- Negligence or actions of other participants, spectators, volunteers, or event staff.
- Active or passive negligence of the Released Parties, including negligent instruction, supervision, course design, or event management.
Participant Acknowledges that helmets are required for this event and understands that wearing a helmet does not eliminate the risk of serious injury, concussion, paralysis, or death.
Participant further understand that participation in High Fives Foundation events may increase exposure to communicable diseases, including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, and other viral or bacterial illnesses, and voluntarily assumes all such risks.
Participant voluntarily elects to participate with full knowledge of teh dangers involved and assumes all known and unknown risks, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
